About Swastik Hospital
An ICU and rehabilitation centre in Veraval, built so that serious illness and long recovery do not both require a journey out of the district.
A hospital built around two needs
Swastik Hospital was set up in Veraval to close a gap that families in this part of Gujarat know well. When someone needs intensive care, or when someone needs an artificial limb or a brace, the usual answer has been a long journey to Rajkot or Ahmedabad, often repeatedly, and often at the worst possible time.
We brought both services into one building opposite the Veraval bus stand. On one side there is a monitored ICU with ventilator and BIPAP support that never closes. On the other there is a prosthetics and orthotics workshop where limbs, braces and insoles are measured, made and fitted on site.
How we work
Our specialists are based here rather than visiting once a month. That continuity matters most for the patients who need it most: someone managing COPD through several winters, or a person learning to walk again on a new limb who needs the socket adjusted four or five times before it feels right.
We also tell you what something will cost before it starts. For a family deciding whether to admit a relative or whether to fit a child with a new device, a clear number given early is part of the care.
Who we serve
Most of our patients come from Veraval, Somnath, Sutrapada and the surrounding villages of Gir Somnath district. The rehabilitation centre draws people from further out, from Junagadh, Keshod, Mangrol, Porbandar, Kodinar, Talala and Una, because this kind of fitting work is rare in the region.
In an emergency
Do not wait for OPD hours. Call +91 83202 94081 at any hour, on any day. The emergency and ICU team is on duty through the night and on Sunday.
What guides us
Available when it matters
Emergencies do not keep clinic hours, so neither does our ICU.
Explain before treating
Patients and families are told what is wrong and what the options are, in plain language.
Finish what we start
A fitting is not done at handover. We review and adjust until the patient can actually use it.
Stay local
Care that would otherwise mean travelling to a metro city should be available here.
Speak to us before you travel
Tell us the problem on the phone and we will advise who to see and when to come.
