Most people in this region who lose a limb, or who need a brace after surgery, are sent to Ahmedabad or Rajkot. That means repeated trips for measurement, trial, collection and then every adjustment afterwards. Many patients simply give up partway, and the device ends up in a cupboard.
Our prosthetics and orthotics centre works differently. Measurement, fabrication, fitting and follow up all happen at Veraval, under Dr. Paras V. Khambhala (BPO, MRCI). A socket that rubs can be corrected the same week rather than on the next trip to a city.

Computerised foot scanning and custom insoles
A digital scan maps where pressure falls across the sole. Insoles are then made to that map, which helps with heel and arch pain, flat foot, and above all with diabetic feet, where an unnoticed pressure point can become an ulcer.
Medical pressure garments
Made to measure garments for burns scars and varicose veins. Steady pressure applied over months keeps a healing scar flatter and softer, and eases the aching and swelling of varicose veins.
How a fitting works
The first visit is an assessment and measurement, and takes longer than an ordinary consultation, so please book it. The device is then fabricated and you return for a trial fitting, where it is adjusted while you stand and walk in it.
After that we review you: a new limb almost always needs several small corrections as the residual limb settles and as you learn to use it. That follow up is part of the fitting, not an extra.
